A gazebo in South Park, PA (sometimes used for weddings & parties) is reflected in a pond moments after sunrise on a chilly Friday morning, November 14th, 2008.
*Edit: 11/23/2008* Sorry if you got this in your box again, download full-size wasn't supposed to be on since it was a full-size, full-quality image for prints
Capture Info: Camera: Canon EOS 40D Lens: Canon EF-S 10-22mm f/3.5-4.5 USM Focal Length: 22mm Exposure: 0.5 seconds @ f/11 ISO: 100 Support: Giottos MT-9360 Tripod w/ Cullmann 35nm Ballhead Date/Time: 11/14/2008 @ approx 7:00am Location: South Park, Pennsylvania USA Notes: I was up early one morning with nothing to do so I wondered down to a little spot I've been wanting to shoot a sunrise at & waited about 1 1/2 hours for the sun to come up. After it finally began to show I realized that I had unfortunately miscalculated & the sun was rising way off to the right of my location (almost 90 degrees to the right of focal point) but of course I got up & took the shot anyway. Actually I spent almost 30 minutes in this one spot before moving on to another early morning shooting location. <lameness>Even when I get a crappy sunrise, sometimes just the event itself is enough to make me stop & realize that just being alive can really be enough. So what if my girlfriend left me & I don't make enough money, so what if I drive a busted ass mini-van without working doors & no window locks, I'm alive.</lameness> Then I'll usually get another debt bill in the mail & I quickly forget about that magical moment in the sunrise
Lemme know what you think, please. I went with B&W because there really wasn't much color to see in the sky & I liked the way the leaves in the foreground looked plus I've always been a sucker for water reflections in grayscale.
ehhh, you know. Really trying to get this photo business up & running & that's draining all the energy & money that I have. You still... you know, there?
